Banner Program
The Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau
offers a standard banner welcome program
to promote awareness of the convention,
enhance the identity of the Hawaii Convention
Center and to promote and share our "aloha"
with convention attendees, delegates and
guests.
The banner program is defined as banners
on light poles front the convention
center and street light poles at the
Honolulu International Airport. We can
offer convention organizers the opportunity
to welcome guests by using the standard
banner and simply changing out the name
(acronym) of the group. This crack and
peel identification system allows us
to offer conventions this service at
nominal cost.
Airport Program
The Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau
partners in the Honolulu International
Airport and major Hawaii University
students to offer airport welcome service
at designated welcome desks throughout
the terminal. Additionally, convention
organizers may purchase banners to be
hung in strategic areas throughout the
airport to welcome guests and provide
visibility to attendees.
Member Discounts
Ala Moana Shopping Center and the Waikiki
Improvement Association are offering
discounts to major convention attendees
and guests. These discounts will be
identifiable through store signs provided
by the Hawaii Visitors and Convention
Bureau to participating merchants.
Hotel Television
Coverage
An alliance between the Hawaii Visitors
and Convention Bureau, Network Media
(a Hawaii based company) and Oceanic
Cable led to the creation of Convention
Television (CTV) for coverage of major
conventions held at the Hawaii Convention
Center. CTV is accessible to over 30,000
Waikiki hotel rooms and provides a vehicle
for meeting planners to convey daily
convention program information to their
attendees, delegates and guests. Through
this partnership, Hawaii has the ability
to "share aloha" by providing greetings
and daily video messages from the Governor,
Mayor and the convention spokesperson
as well as some day coverage of keynote
addresses, VIP interviews, exhibitor
commercials and booth locations. The
system also has the capability to promote
island services and products through
advertising on this medium. Our professional
CTV staff will work to arrange television
coverage package that suits Your convention
and its exhibitors needs. Call Network
Media in Honolulu at (808) 955-2378.
On-Site Housing
Desk
For our housing services customers,
Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau
will provide a staffed housing desk
on site at the Hawaii Convention Center
to facilitate changes, revisions, new
reservations, answering questions and
locator services for our attendees and
guests.
